Cares are provided on a walk-in basis with the
participants bringing their own basin and towel. Diabetics need an order from
their physician. Feet are assessed and after soaking the feet, nails are cut and
cuticle care is provided. A $20.00 donation is requested at time of service. All care is
provided by Cedar County Public Health Nurses.
Flu Shot Clinics
The CDC recommends getting the vaccine as soon as it is available. Each year,
thousands of people die from influenza and even more require hospitalization.
All people 6 months of age and older should get the vaccine. Influenza can occur
at any time, but most influenza occurs from October through May. It takes up to
2 weeks for protection to develop after the vaccine has been given and
protection lasts about a year.
$25. This fee is waived for those individuals with medicare part B or
medicaid coverage. (MUST present your card)

WIC clinics are held 9:00am-3:00pm in the basement of the Cedar County
Courthouse one day each month. Appointments can be made by
calling Johnson County Public Health at 319-356-6042.
2018 WIC Clinics
screening is performed by Public Health Nursing Staff for infection surveillance
of Cedar County Public Health employees and Cedar County Law Enforcement
employees. The public health department also screens county residents that have
a need for testing for a fee of $25.
